Hans Ulrich Rudel was Germany's highest decorated combatant.He was a Junkers 87 Stuka ace flying more than 2,530 sorties.He also flew 430 missions flying a Focke Wulf 190.He is credited with destroying 519 tanks and over 800 vehicles of all types plus artillery and anti tank guns and positions.He also destroyed a number of ships and had 9 aerial victories.He was personally awarded his Golden Oakleaves with Swords and Diamonds to his Knights Cross by Adolf Hitler on 1st January 1945.Signed letter headed note paper bearing Rudel's Oakleaves and Swords motif in gold print and dated 8.3.78.Also a signed postcard featuring a Lufthansa Boeing jet dated 17.12.79 and bearing Christmas greetings to same recipient as the headed note paper.
