Type B brass buckle with nickel silver front plate. The front plate has been heavily polished to extent that the Ottoman script 'Asakir-Sahane'(pronounced Asakry Shahanah-Sultans Ottoman Army) is very faint. The front plate has at some point been repaired and unusually there is an anomaly in that the belt prongs are on the left side as opposed to the standard right hand side.Perhaps the front plate was during repair reattached upside down or the owner requested the prongs left side as possibly left handed and easier to buckle belt this way.We will never know but makes an interesting slant to an otherwise standard EM's buckle.
