Pony hair covered canvas pack with leather and canvas fittings.Fold-over flap that covers and fastens at front. Straps, buckles and are complete but several alloy fittings are mismatches and thus period replacements.Two side straps are stamped with Czech markings and 47 date for reissue to postwar Czech units.To top of rear leather fitting is maker stamp 'Hermann Aurich of Dresden' and above the SS stamp has been rubbed out presumably when issued to Czech forces. Nice SS/RZM marking to the back of the pack as well to each leather back strap. Shows the expected age and use.Strap for shoulder stamped with maker and Berlin stamp.Interior flap has SS Unit stamp however this is almost ineligible but the SS runes can be seen.Bottom of flap has a maker stamp.
Stamped aluminum construction M34 helmet retains most of its original black satin finish paint.Ventilation holes positioned on each side of the crown. All four of the flat headed liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 light tan leather liner. Liner is complete. Original chinstrap is complete . The interior crown has the addition of leather crown lining panel with internal padding. Size marked 56. Owners initials to liner.Shell maker stamped 'Edel'
