Very nice Waffen SS Unterscharfuhrer tunic group comprising an M43 tunic converted to M44 style .Field grey gabardine material 5 button tunic.This has been a field conversion and done in a very nice professional manner. The breast pockets are standard M43 type. Left breast has thread loops for wear of two awards. The tunic has four sets of vertically aligned three stitched eyelets with one set situated at either side of the front closure and two to either side of the back panel waistline designed for the belt support hooks. Reverse of the field blouse have two short vertical tapering seams and the reverse also has a short vertical tail skirt vent.To the right of tail vent has been a period repair.The straight sleeve cuffs each have a small vertical slash to the outside seams with a single stitched button eyelet and button to each.Lower right sleeve has staining possibly either blood or oil.The upper left sleeve has machine embroidered SS sleeve eagle in silver/grey threads on a black base. The eagle is machine stitched to the sleeve. Black wool construction slip on Artillery/Tank Destroyer Shoulder straps and retaining loops and pebbled buttons are intact.NCO silver aluminium diamond shaped tress and red waffenfarbe to outside edges.Machine embroidered runic and rank tabs are machine stitched to the collar. Both in lovely worn condition. Tunic also comes with EK2 ribbon.Tunic buttons are pebble type. The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in grey artificial silk. The right front tail skirt lining has a field dressing pocket with a single button closure. The lining also has four vertical grey straps with four stitched eyelets to each positioned to the reverse of the exterior belt support hook eyelets. Lining to right breast panel has black size RB numbered ink stamps,an army stamp but not uncommon to be issued to SS troops particularly late war.
Belt buckle is early die stamped solid nickel/silver construction features a smooth outer field with a high relief, embossed, central motif pattern consisting of an SS style national eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreath encompassing a static swastika. The swastika and wreath are encompassed by a circular rope border with Gothic script motto, "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!", (My Honour is Loyalty!). The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse and the buckle catch, prong bar and prongs are all intact. The reverse the buckle is also well marked with the stamped manufacturer’s initials,"O&C", indicating manufacture by Overhoff & Cie of Lüdenscheid and "Ges. gesch.", indicating, Gesetzlich Geschützt,(Protected by Law). Black leather belt is complete and in good condition and ink stamped on tongue '94' and maker stamp however this is difficult to decipher.
K98 pouches are early pattern, blackened pebbled leather construction three compartments to each ammo pouch.Maker marked and dated for 1943 and numbered to one pouch.Other pouch is marked Hamburg 1942'.
Field grey wool rayon cap with dark green centre band and dark green piping.One very small nip to the crown. Insignia comprises a gilt washed stamped alloy eagle and swastika and alloy oak leaves wreath encompassing a stamped national tricolour cockade. Twisted silver/aluminium chin cord is secured in place by two small gilt washed metal buttons decorated with fouled navy anchors. Black vulcan fibre visor in good condition with all stitching intact. The interior of the cap is fully lined in light blue rayon with grey leather sweat shield and sweatband ribbon to the rear.Interior celluloid sweat diamond intact with all stitching present. Superb condition cap.
SS Galizien M43 NCO's tunic which we acquired 30 years ago from a Galizien veteran who lived in Edinburgh, and stayed in Scotland after his capture during WW2. When we acquired the tunic from him, it had only the single Galizien collar patch, all other insignia had been removed. The tunic itself is the army pattern which was frequently worn by SS volunteer units. We completed the tunic with original SS artillery shoulder straps and rank tab. We also added the eagle and Galizien arm shield which at the time we thought original however since these were pre -internet additions we have since found out the eagle and shield are 'apparently' very good copies.The eagle is machine woven as is the Galicia armshield featuring a lion with three crowns.The rank collar tab is black wool construction with a single stamped alloy rank pip positioned on the center and single rank tress. Machine embroidered Galician lion collar tab shows much wear to wool around lion.Tunic comes with matching hard to find army M40 combat trousers, two pocket buttons are missing and the trousers have been shortened which was quite common.
Tunic shows usual wear for combat tunic particularly on inside where neck collar has rubbed.Interior is lined with grey artificial silk and the right front tail skirt lining has a field dressing pocket with a single button closure. The lining also has two vertical grey straps with stitched eyelets positioned to the reverse of the exterior belt support hook eyelets.
Trousers have size stamps to interior and maker stamp 'J.P. Mayer'.Four bakelite black buttons and one alloy button to front closure.There are 8 alloy buttons to waist.Rear has pocket with bakelite button closure.Adjustment size straps with two prong claw buckle that is maker marked 'PRIMA' Trousers are in excellent condition which is rare as most were worn out.
Private purchase field-grey wool construction M35 dress tunic with eight button front closure and double metal hook and eye closure . The tunic is roughly a size 36" chest. Shows the expect light age and usage but overall very nice tunic.
Shoulder insignia is rank of Oberfeldwebel and cypher for Panzer Reconaissance Unit 8.NCO silver aluminium tress with pink piping for Panzer. The collar tabs are hand embroidered litzen in bright silver/aluminum wire threads on pink wool base.Small moth hole beneath right side insignia.Machine woven breast eagle in excellent condition.Eastern Front ribbon bar to left breast.
Cuff litzen and tress in good condition on both sleeves.A button on left sleeve has a chip out of the silver button and small moth nip below this.Interior lining shows some wear but from period use.Interior belt intact.
There is a small hole to front bottom of tunic and some moth damage to lining edge.Front and rear lower partof tunic has some staining.There are several very small holes to rear of tunic and two on rear of right sleeve.
A very nice and rare M16 Helmet , stamped sheet steel construction helmet retains high amounts of its original paint. The interior of the helmet has three pad leather liner with alloy retaining band in good condition.. Chinstrap is complete and in excellent condition.
The interior crown of the helmet has a maker label 'OSKAR SOMMER DORTMUND'. The helmet has all three liner retaining rivets and both chinstrap retaining rivets and both of the M16/18 style ventilation side lugs all intact. One liner pad has 'Maa 13' written on it in ink.Front of the helmet has a silver Luftschutz decal.Part of the oakleaf and one leg of the swastika has come away and upper right of Luftschutz is minus the oakleaf. Nice quality Luftwaffe wool/rayon blend construction visor cap features a black centerband and red wool waffenfarbe piping for Artillery Flak units.2nd pattern Luftwaffe alloy eagle and cockade insignia. The cap has a black patent leather chinstrap with black metal retaining clips and black metal sliding adjustment buckles and buttons all complete. Black lacquered leather visor. Complete with liner and sweatband.Interior is lined in green rayon and has a clear celluloid sweat diamond which is fully intact and maker marked 'Pekuro' and also marked 'Stirndruckfrei' 'DEUTSCHES REICHSPATENT'. Sweatband is green leather with ventilation perforations to the front forehead section. V.G.C.
Army Infantry herring bone twill, late war reed green HBT tunic. Complete with all ten pebbled alloy buttons which still retain their original field gray paint, sewn directly to the tunic rather than having the usual S ring attachments.Collar has both metal hook and eye fasteners with zig zag stitching to the reverse.The infantry collar patches are hand stitched to the tunic, the stitching to the left collar patch has come away to one side.Tunic features a late war M44/45 breast eagle which has been machine stitched on. Complete with both metal belt support hooks and all four buttons to the sleeve cuffs. Inside of tunic is partially lined in gray rayon material with field dressing pocket and button. The tunic appears never to have had shoulder straps which is very possible being from the very late war period. Good condition with no rips or tears, small size for a young soldier.
Summer tunic and trousers for Kriegsmarine enlisted man.Sleeve has trade patches for Flak Gunnery Leader and Senior Boatswain.Matching issue numbers and name stitched to both tunic and trousers.Some staining.Trousers have faint stamp scored out in black ink pertaining to ownership by a film company, this was quite common after the war as film companies would buy stocks of original uniforms to be used in film productions.
Beaded rim helmet of stamped sheet steel construction M35 style helmet with the addition of an embossed horizontal "bead" positioned at front and rear visors and crown. The helmet retains about 90% of its original dark blue satin finish. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal in place. The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a swastika positioned below "Luftschutz". The decal is retained about 95%. The interior of the helmet has a tan leather construction nine finger liner with air vents. Liner is size marked 56. Shell is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, "E.F.66" for maker 'Emaillierwerke A.G. Fulda' size 66. Liner has owners name marked in ink.Chinstrap complete and in good condition. V.G.C.
Luftwaffe blue/grey wool/rayon blend cap.Features fold down back and side panels with a downward scalloped front edge and two small, blue/grey painted metal buttons to the front center. The back and side panels fold down to protect the wearers ears and neck and the scalloped front section could be secured with the buttons closed under the wearers chin. Insignia is one piece machine embroidered trapezoid. The cap has an extended forward visor with an internal stiffener . The interior of the cap is fully lined in grey rayon that is heavily sweat stained. The lining is marked with a faint RB number and date 1944 .Front of lining beneath the visor is torn and there is a small to front upper side of visor.
Stamped sheet steel construction M34 helmet retains about 80% of its original black satin finish paint. The left side of the helmet has a police decal with the second pattern silver wreathed police eagle. The decal has a couple of scratches above the eagles head but is mostly complete. The right side of the helmet has a party shield decal which is retained about 90%. The helmet has two "salt & pepper" ventilation holes positioned on each side of the crown.e as well. All rivet heads present. Nice complete liner that is maker stamped 'T.M.B.' and size 55. Chinstrap complete and in good order. V.G.C.
A fully lined NCO tunic for a Veterinary Sergeant Major constructed from a heavy, mustard colored wool, which features four exterior pockets, a five button, single-breasted front closure, and a hook and eye closure at the neck. The horizontal slash breast pockets have scalloped flaps with buttons and hip pockets have straight-edged flaps. A bayonet support strap, with a buttonhole and button, is to the left hip. The interior of the tunic is lined in white cotton, with a white cotton vertical slash pocket to the interior left breast, and a white cotton horizontal slash wound dressing pocket beneath that. Nice issue markings. Roughly a size 38. Rear of tunic shows some period wear otherwise in excellent condition.
WW1 M16 Helmet used by the German forces, and into the Third Reich era. Issued to reserve and second line troops well into WW2. High percentage of its Third Reich 'Dunkelgrau' paint remains. Faint stamp to rear interior neck guard. No liner. This helmet was part of a collection brought back by an R.A.F. veteran that we have acquired.
Japanese naval enlisted mans late model side cap. Olive drab canvas cap with machine embroidered yellow anchor to front. Complete with canvas chin strap and tie strings to back. Inside of cap has a rectangular ink stamp with Japanese characters.
Stamped sheet steel construction M34 helmet retains about 75% of its original black finish paint. The helmet has two "salt & pepper" ventilation holes on each side of the crown. All liner retaining rivets are intact. M31 black leather liner is in overall very good,clean condition with all seven fingers intact. The liner has all five T shaped leather tabs for attaching the protective leather neck guard.Liner is stamped maker 'TMB' and size marked '59'. Chinstrap is very fragile. The interior crown has the blackened leather lining panel with internal padding.
Army Officers Visor Cap.Details stitched to interior.Medium olive drab wool body and crown. The one-piece crown is piped in red wool to its edge. The Imperial brass star is affixed to the front of the center band. The cap has its original black patent finished chinstrap, with dual adjustment sliders, fixed by alloy officer’s buttons with embossed chrysanthemums. Black patent finished visor. The silk liner is complete. The sweatband is complete but has some wear to the stitching at the rear. Shows the expected period use and wear but overall nice condition.
M44 Gladiator style helmet.About 75% of its original grey finish paint. The helmet has two "salt & pepper" ventilation holes on each side of the crown. All liner retaining rivets are intact.All four of the woodencork spacers between the liner and the helmet shell are still intact.Liner is late war and is ink marked but not eligible. The interior neck guard is stamped L239/25
White canvas construction side cap used by naval ratings in the Japanese navy.Machine embroidered black anchor on oval patch sewn to front.White canvas chin strap complete with two adjustment loops.Visor is of the same material as the body. The cap has two reinforced ventilation holes to either side of the crown all showing rust. Two reinforced eyelets are on either side of a slit to the rear and these are also quite heavily rusted.Some staining to interior particulary around the visor. Sweatband is of brown leather material.
Matching pair of army issue underwear consisting of long johns and shirt, complete with all buttons, both maker marked B&D Hamburg and dated 1939 with 46 size stamps. Approximate size is a 40 to 42 inch chest and 32 to 34 inch waist
