(Code: 2514) | | Five pouch bandolier of brown leather with rivetted steel buckle and brass fittings and closure studs. Cartridge pouches in good condition with no cracking to leather. The strap has been shortened (see picture at brass buckle) This was usually done to fit a smaller soldier or for quick release, however it can still be fastened using the belt loop which allows it to fasten by around another six inches so will still display well on a mannequin. There is a visible but illegible maker mark stamped along with date 1917.Rare WW1 item.
