WW2 MKII Brodie helmet used by the National Fire Service ,Western No.1 branch in Glasgow. Helmet with nice bright clear decals to front. Complete with original liner and chinstrap, both in excellent condition. Liner is dated 1940 and stamped TTC for ''Teddy Toy Company'' who made helmet liners during the war. Size stamped 6 3/4. The helmet under the rim is faintly stamped 'BMB 41' for maker ''Briggs Motor Bodies of Dagenham'' .The rear of the helmet rim interior has owner's name etched to paint 'J.DONNACHIE 969024' .Canvas chinstrap with springs to each side and markings written in ink but hard to decipher. Original green paint remains over nearly all of helmet with the exception of the rear left hand side where three sections of paint are missing down to the bare metal, and one section under the rim. Possibly due to contact with extreme heat . Otherwise good condition.
