| Heavy duty canvas coat issued to British despatch riders. Stud fastenings and closure belt. Some staining to jacket and light rusting to metal belt parts, studs and belt eyelets. Has map pocket and horizontal pockets with closure flaps. Number stamp to inside coat flap with original label present but attached with pin. Label is very faded. Was found stored in an attic since the end of WW2 along with the Long Range Desert Group Kapok coat we have also listed. Both Jackets belonged to the same LRDG officer. |
