Case in excellent condition and stamp  date 1942 and maker/waffenampt stamps.Metal closure stamp is maker stamped.All stitching to case intact.Binoculars are stamped in white 'BRIGADIER M.P. BOGERT' obviously captured during campaign. .Maker stamp beh KF  Dienstglas 10x50 388801.Tongue leather  on binos stamped beh 1941.Optics are good..
Brigadier Bogert commanded West Nova Scotia Regt 1942-43 in the Canadian Infantry attached to the British Army in Italy Monte Cassino and Anzio.Also Greece.Awarded DSO for service at Jelsi in Italy,Order Of Valour from Greece and Legion Of Merit for service in Korea as well as MBE and CBE.
The case has Enclosure tags for Horse Racing from the 1960's at Sandown and Epsom.
