British Army 'Tabby' Infra red Night Vision Binoculars .One of the first ever night vision devices used operationally. Lens plate is stamped ''ZA 23001 CU 35''. Complete with rubber head rest,webbing head strap and cables. These Infra Red Tabbies were made famous from 1942 and were used on tanks and on the LVT Water Buffalo during the famous Rhine River Crossing. The Tabby is complete and excellent condition with Ministry Of Supply Acceptance Label still attached and dated 11.1.44. 
Originally designed to be issued to British Special Forces ,but due to weight issue were not suitable for combat,they were then issued to Armoured Crews and Reconnaissance vehicles.
