Airborne.Comprises photo of Foubister in uniform sitting on rear of army truck .His insignia in photo is here in this collection.Reverse of photo is stamped 'APPROVED MILITARY PHOTOGRAPHER No31'.His goggles are standard army issue and with metal container tin.Tin stamped 'FRANCIS & SONS LTD LONDON 1942'
These goggles were used by Despatch riders,Motor transport units and other branches including Observer units.
Goggles still retain their tinted lamination .Fabric around lenses in excellent condition.Leather all intact including all stitching .Small amount of verdigris to copper metal centre where lenses link.The elastic is structurally sound and retains elasticity with metal clip still functioning to tighten.
War Department Driving Permit stamped to front '2 Fwd Observer Unit R.A. 20 SEP 1945 AIRBORNE' and scribbled in pencil by issuing Officer LT G.S. Murray R.A. Reverse has permit details and authorised usage dates.
Pegasus shoulder flashes are printed and in excellent condition .Sergeant stripes are matching pair with stripes and stitching all intact.Royal Artillery flashes similarly in very good condition.
