Named to Douglas Anderson Scott.Slip is for the 39-45 Star and the Atlantic Star and War Medal.Perished at sea when his ship the Clan MacFadyen was torpedoed on 27th Nov 1942 95 miles southeast of Trinidad by U-508 commanded by Georg Staats.92 on board of whom only 10 survived. The ship was enroute U.K. She had been zigzagging for 13 hours to avoid the U-Boat who had been hunting her.
