Collar Badge of the elite Garde -Kavellerie-Schutzen-Division originally bodyguards for the Kaiser and an elite shock troop unit in WWI.After the Naval Mutiny in late November early and early December 1918 the G.K.S.D. marched home to engage the revolutionaries at the Imperial Palace on Dec 24th.They were heavily involved with the Freikorp units in the postwar period. A very rare badge from a elite and historic unit.The prongs are missing otherwise good condition. |

(Code: 1301) | |  Very nice pennant for 50 years membership in the 'Braunschweiger Landwehr Verband'.Brass hanging rail with pennant in the Brunswick colours and similar coloured tassles.Pennant is 11'' in length and 5'' width.Bottom of pennant has gilt bullion tassles.To centre of pennant is silver metal Brunswick Landwehr badge surmounting silver Iron cross containing words 'For God,King and Empire with date 1875 beneath.Hanging from cross is a gilt pendant containing number '50' and the word 'Jahre'(Years) circled with oakleaves . Some stitching coming away to pennant where it holds the brass rail.
